Well, another year went by. Man, we are getting old! We recently went to Aunt Lori and Uncle Richard’s house to celebrate Thanksgiving . There was a slew of people (nothing new)….. Our family is huge. We don’t see each other in big groups but once or twice a year, but when we get together it seems we pick up where we left off the year before. Our Thanksgiving celebration consists of eating till we can’t sit down, playing some tunes on the guitars and harmonicas, and just being lazy and talking to everyone. I love going to Lori’s house because she and Richard are such great hosts; plus I love their house. This year, we invited Lane and Travis Floriquist to celebrate with us. Lane brought his new love, Sheryl! I think they look really cute together.. Hope everyone had a happy Turkey day…
White Rock trip
The boys went to the deer woods this weekend, so we (the women), decided to take a trip to the woods too. We ventured up to White Rock, which is about 20 miles north of Mulberry, Arkansas. I had printed off directions to follow on the way there, but somehow it lead us to White Rock, AR instead. We went about 20 minutes off course, but finally made it to the top of the mountain after dragging in the van a couple of times, and stopping to pick up some Chesters chicken because we were starving. My sister came and met us from Fayetteville. She beat us there by an hour!! I had an excuse (2 kids, bad directions, and an appetite). Thank goodness for my sister’s messy trunk of clothes that she hadn’t unpacked into her dormroom, or we would have frozen to death. It was about 20 degrees colder on top of the mountain than on the ground in Greenwood. We took coats, but it wasn’t enough. We bundled up in what she had, and pretty much buried Raegan in her blankets, and headed off to explore the view!!! And, man, was it worth it. It’s definitely a little piece of heaven up there. I love to sit up at high places and just enjoy the view. The trees were beautiful. We ate our chicken and drank Dr. Pepper!!!!!!!! This is definitely the most adventureous I’ve been since Raegan was born; matter-of-fact, since Laynee was born…

Potty training over!!
Well, potty training didn’t last very long. She’s not ready. I guess she’s gonna be one of those that just tells me one day “Mom, I’m ready”. Oh. well. Hopefully Raegan won’t be potty trained before her.
Potty training has begun; YIKES….
I started potty training Laynee as of today… Lord help me. I’ve heard the best way to do it (from friends that have done the deed), is to put them in panties and never return to diapers except for nap/bedtime. So, that’s what we’ve done. For those of you who don’t know, we tried this summer, but were unsuccessful because I was so huge that I could not bend over and clean up pee-pee all day long. She was ready, mommy wasn’t.. Well, the newborn stage is starting to wear off and Laynee tells us every time she goes to the bathroom. She will actually squat down and say “I’m pee-peeing” It’s so funny when she does that. Wish us luck!!!!!!!!!
The day of sleep
One of my friends named Joni came over yesterday afternoon and offered to babysit for us while Andrew and went out and had a date night. So, we did and we had a blast! We went and saw that new war movie with Ben Stiller and a whole bunch of stars (I can’t think of the title, but it was really funny). Then we just ran around town and had some fun. We really needed that. Sorry, didn’t take any pictures to post. Today was my last day off before I have to start work tomorrow, so I decided to sleep all day to try and rest since I have some sort of cold going on. I realized last night when I took Benadryl and it didn’t make me the least bit tired, that I must really be exhausted from having a newborn since it didn’t knock me on my hiney. Anyway, long story short, I took about a 7 hour nap today after I took the girls to Ms. Debbie’s this morning. They are officially going to daycare together now.
This New “Blog” thing
Well, Andrew and I have decided to start a blog like the rest of America. I’ll have to admit, I’m a little old school because I was a little hesitant; plus I’m afraid that I won’t have time to keep up with it. We’ll try it though. Getting used to mommyhood again has been somewhat of a challenge this time around. Not that it was not challenging last time, but different challenges this time. I’m gearing up to go back to work next Wednesday. Can’t believe it’s been 6 weeks. I’m ready to get into a routine of what life it really gonna be like (when work starts). Raegan is growing like a little weed, and Laynee is pretty much adjusted to her new little sister. She calls her “Big Sister”. It’s so funny since she’s the big sister. When Raegan wakes up in the morning, Laynee runs to her bed and climbs upon the rails and says “Hi baby cakes!” She’s heard me call her that and now it rubbed off on Laynee. Here are some updated pictures of them.
